Archives for the month of: November, 2009

We also had a wonderful family photo shoot. (Thank you some much Dan & Naomi!)

Don’t worry, we got some great pictures. But I can’t share them with you at this moment because the littlest one and I will be traveling. I will try and post while out and about.

Have a delightful week!

I’m trying my best to savor bits of the autumn season before Christmas decorations and music whisk it away. And therefore I proudly display my fall wreath… which I put together. What was once a simple berry wreath is now adorned with gold berry stems and handmade felt leaves.

I did, in fact, serve pumpkin pie for lunch this past week.

My home, my health, and my adorable, lovable, huggable little ones are keeping me on my toes.

Now back to vacuuming up cereal that’s been crunched into the carpet and re-washing some sheets that were left in the washer (& never made it into the dryer.)

More to come later…

It’s raining outside. It’s been raining all week. An ever slight, but present sickness has fallen upon me. We’ve been indoors all week. It’s a little maddening. We’ve watched a lot of movies. I’ve flipped through a lot of catalogs and I’ve wandered through and read plenty of websites. If rain or sickness is headed your way or you’d just like something new to read here are a few that I’ve enjoyed.

full of friends, beautiful weather, & pit cooking make for a wonderful weekend trip.

our week

Consisting of homemade pizza, apple pie cookies, 30 Rock, & some coloring on the side.

This week has been a little different, but we’ve made it through. Now we look forward to a mini break at a friend’s farm for a couple of days.

How did you spend your first week of November?

the last few leaves

fallen

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.

At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.
